There was a time when GOP Legislators, elected officials (governors, mayors, etc.) used to pretend to have moral values, used to pretend to embrace family values, used to pretend to be Christian, used to pretend to be concerned about national debts, used to pretend to abide by the rule of law, used to pretend to protect the Constitution, used to pretend to defend our democracy. There was a time Republicans used to masquerade themselves as the Party with moral compass; in reality, there is never a time when Republicans are ever any of the things they’ve claimed. Now that the whole country is aware, why do they continue to pretend?
