The sedition did not happen on the spur of a moment; it was meticulously planned, organized by Republican business leaders and elected officials with the stated objective of bypassing the Constitution and ignoring the will of The People.

In comparison to another major event which occurred on our soil, what happened on 9/11/2001 was a blip in American history; what happened on January 6, 2021 shook the very foundation of our democracy. Left unaddressed, it will get worse, much, much worse. Even the ADP leaders caught to have participated in the sedition have shown no regret, no remorse. Most have publicly downplayed the tragedy. To date, there has not been a single account of someone in the previous administration or in the ADP leadership rank who stood up for America. Equally bad is the fact that the January 6 Commission has been so cautious dealing with ADP Leaders who participated in and/or supported the sedition it renders its effort useless and will quite possibly be fruitless.

The January 6 Investigation Commission should keep in mind that the unrepentant should never be trusted to do what’s right; his next action will always be worse than the previous, the one he never repented from. As of this writing, there has yet to be a single Republican who, after taking part in or supporting or encouraging or condoning the January 6 2021 insurrection, would acknowledge having done anything wrong. Not a single GOP Leader! Not a single Republican supporter! The Commission should move decisively to identify, hold accountable and expose the bad actors that seek to destroy democracy in the country. The Commission can only serve America and help to preserve its democracy by being as ruthless as Republicans are vicious.
