As if those millions of Republicans are completely oblivious of the depth of the damages they have caused to the country they claim to love, they show no intention of letting up. According to the latest survey, an overwhelmingly high percentage of Republicans – including ADP Leaders such as Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, Kevin McCarthy, Chuck Grassley – would vote for Donald Trump again if he were to decide to bid in the 2024 presidential elections. This crisis of moral deficiency in the Republican circle permeates not just Washington but the country as a whole. Business leaders, successful individuals (ADP Affiliates, ADP leaning and members) have also expressed support for the individual who has brought the country to the brink of autocracy during his one-term presidency.
Rollercoaster rides of democracy are usually observed in countries which were ruled by dictators, authoritarians but their citizens – perhaps with the help of powerful countries such as the United States – have managed to rid themselves of those dictators; democracy rollercoaster in such countries are usually expected. But in countries such as the United States which have a mature system of democracy (for well over two centuries and half in the case of US), such rollercoaster ride of democracy cannot be expected and is unacceptable. And yet, millions of people comprising the ADP show no allegiance to the country they claim to love and no regard for the Constitution they refer often to when arguing about their rights. It’s not hard to see the writing on the wall vis-à-vis the future of the United States.
It’s not bright.
