Even as President, Trump Was Always Insignificant

Contrary to belief, Donald Trump’s importance, even as President of the United States has always been insignificant; however, much unfortunately his relevance was (still is) closely linked to Republicans’ ignorance of and disloyalty to the country they’ve all claimed to love. George Washington, our first president warned us about this very moment in the existence of the Republic; he urged the nation to “guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism”. Throughout the Republican widespread betrayal leading up to the execution of the attempted coup on January 6, 2021 led by Donald Trump, everyone who participated in the insurrection waved an American flag to symbolize their devotions to the nation that has given them so much.

And yet the deficiency of patriotism of GOP Leaders – most participated and/or contributed in the January 6, 2021 insurrection – and the display of full blown ignorance of the Republican constituents have normalized mediocrity, incompetence, disloyalty and corruption as leadership qualities; they wear them (with pride) as if they were badges of honor.
