There are several similar such claims Republicans have made, which GOP Leadership has added as core values for the Republican Party. Don’t get upset. Take a deep breath. The good news is, it’s just a nightmare; the bad news is, it’s going to be around for a while. Grrrr! How can one be Christian and not abide by Christian principles? How can anyone who’s abandoned moral values claim to be a decent individual?  Frustrating, isn’t it? Both the leaders and the constituents in the Republican Party have lived by pretending to be patriots while destroying every aspect of our democracy, by pretending to care about law enforcement while beating the crap out of those who attempt to enforce the law, by pretending to abide by the Constitution while shredding every letter of this document; most have lived by pretending to be what they are not.
