The Republican Party which has long labeled itself the party of the rule of law, marketed itself as Christian with moral principles is completely morally bankrupt. On display (to us, the world) was not just the actions of a rogue president – a predicament which could have easily been dealt with by applying the letter of the Constitution – but also the behavior and the belief of all those who are subscribed to and associated with the Republican Party. Members of the Lower Chamber (Congress) as well as those in the Upper (Senate) have made it crystal clear they are no different than the leader the world’s seen as perhaps the most despicable individual in existence, with authoritarian inclination.

For the first time in the history of the United States – approximately two and a half centuries in existence – the leader of the Republican Party is so morally bankrupt he had to be impeached twice in a span of just four years. While that might sound like an anomaly, it’s not. Far from it!
