The Machiavellian Nature of the GOP Leaders

The sheer level of ignorance of the Republicans is not discussed to be lamented over but rather to be recognized and remedied. Such ignorance can destroy the Republic; we’ve already witnessed some major cracks in our government structure; we are experiencing the impact of a democracy in decadence. JFK recognized that fact when he stated that “the ignorance of a single voter in a democracy impairs the security of us all”. There is no lack of examples to reference the widespread problem (of ignorance) in the Republican circle, from birtherism to pizzagate with “death panel” and “gun confiscation by Obama” in-between, any concern citizen should be alarmed. Ironically, GOP leaders work continuously to make their supporters feel comfortable in their ignorance, for them to see it not as a shortcoming but rather as an asset against the Democrats.

Unfortunately, the Republican supporters are not smart enough to pick up on the Machiavellian tactic of their leaders. For instance, by the time the Republican constituents became aware of the facts regarding Obamacare, some would have already lost their loved ones who succumbed to their diseases, others would be at an advanced stage of illness that would guarantee their inevitable demise. One needs not be a college graduate to realize that GOP Leaders have time and again capitalized on the Republican constituents’ ignorance irrespective of the cost, irrespective of the damage.
