Two glaring facts: 1) the “incomprehensible” ignorance of the Republican constituents who continue to support Donald Trump’s effort to destroy our institutions, to destroy the country, to destroy democracy, 2) the indefatigable effort by Devin Nunes, Paul Ryan, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and many others to help the president achieve his nefarious objective. Mr. Trump has made use of the most effective approach employed by the world’s cruelest authoritarian in the early 20th century, Adolf Hitler. Mr. Hitler believed that “all propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the LEAST intelligent whom it seeks to reach”.
