Even after releasing copy of his birth certificate, millions of Republicans continue to believe Obama is not American. When Obama completed his term in office and left the White House on January 19, 2017, there were still 28% of the Republicans who continue to cling to their belief regarding Obama’s citizenship.

It is no longer a question of the ignorance in the Republican Party; it is a matter of finding out what causes such ignorance? The 21^st century writer Mike Ducheine stated that “The most dangerous elements of a society are those whose ignorance is perpetuated by the systematic refusal to learn and the blindfolded determination to reject the truth.”
