Disloyalty And The Price Of Ignorance – 1A

Two weeks ago I published part three of a 3-part series article titled Donald Trump’s Impeachment Is Inevitable. (You can read part one and part two here and here). There are specifically two statements I made I would like to bring forth here for further discussion.

  1. Donald Trump Is Not Worth the Sacrifice of our Nation
  2. Donald Trump’s crime (of treason) would make Nixon’s Watergate look more like a misdemeanor.

Here I continue the discussion of bulleted point No 1.

When Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, it didn’t seem to register (to him) that the primary and most important job the president of the United States has is to safeguard the security of the nation and to defend the Constitution. To every president before Trump, it was a task which was taken seriously; this is not to say those who preceded Trump did a great job doing that. Far from it! But at least, that was their number one priority. Trump, on the other hand, be it out of ignorance or disinterest, not only expresses very little to no interest in the security of the country but he has also worked openly to undermine the Constitution which he swore on January 20, 2017 to “preserve, protect and defend.” (reflection: since he was under oath when he made the statement and it’s quite obvious he’s doing just the opposite, isn’t that enough to impeach him?)
