Republicans have a Party to run and a country to destroy; Democrats want to make history at all cost; it’s an impasse. Luckily, I have the solution to save the country.
The impasse voters of both Partys face this presidential election cycle seems insurmountable; they have to choose between two “unliked” candidates. However, I came up with the most creative solution both Partys can agree on.
The solution is very simple, it would spare voters on both sides any surprise; as you read through, it will become so obvious, so simple you’d shake your head in disbelief; even a caveman could have thought of that.
Most Republicans who support Trump have offered the most illogical rationale (forgive the oxymoron) for choosing Trump over Hillary Clinton:
- Hillary lies. Doesn’t Trump?
- Hillary is corrupt. Isn’t Trump?
- Hillary is crooked. Isn’t Trump?
But Hillary is qualified, is Trump?
Those same individuals referred to Trump this way:
- Trump doesn’t represent their Party
- Trump is unfit to be Commander-In-Chief
- Trump is Unstable
- Trump is Dangerous
- Trump alienates people
- Trump is a liar
- Trump is a dictator
- Trump incites violence
but somehow those very individuals are able to justify supporting him.
I am against Trump from becoming president because 1) I am a concerned citizen 2) I am a patriot 3) I am more loyal to the country than I am to a political Party 4) I have a brain which works.
You see, if comments made by heads of State across the world are any indication, under a Trump presidency, the United States will no longer be the beacon with the shining light on the hill; the country may no longer be the envy of the world and its citizens no longer welcome everywhere.
Truth be told, it’s somewhat unsettling to visualize the country, the world even to have to deal with a Trump’s administration. It was entertaining to watch Donald Trump knock all his rivals out of the race but it is no longer funny to contemplate the possibility he might become the next President of the United States. What’s most demoralizing is the fact that some GOP Leaders who have repeatedly claimed to love the country and have unanimously declared publicly that Donald Trump is incompetent and unfit to become president found a way to explain their support for him.
Patriotism is not just a word to toss around; it’s not a cover to hide under. Patriotism requires making incredibly difficult choices, taking unconventional positions for the sake of the country, for the sake of future generations, for the sake of the world.
I compare all the “#NEVERTRUMP but will support him anyway” Republicans to an abused woman who makes favorable case for her abuser. What evil spirit would possess an abused woman to defend her abuser? Most importantly, why would an abused woman not rush to escape the abuser?
If Donald Trump is as “bad” as most Republicans have agreed he is, it’s simply illogical to justify supporting him. And yet those Republican leaders found a way to explain their support.
Unless one is completely delusional, there is absolutely no area of comparison between Donald and Hillary; to hate, do dislike, to resent and even to find her despicable does not in any way affect her qualifications. Mrs. Clinton is perhaps the only presidential candidate in modern time with such a long list of credentials appropriate for the job. Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate who has vied for the Oval Office in a very long time.
The presidency is NOT a joke! One is either a patriot or is not.
To run the country is not an act; it cannot be scripted. It was fun to watch Mr. Trump during the primaries; it was entertaining, outrageous, hilarious and ridiculous at times; now it is important. It is not just about the United States; it is not just about you; it is about the future.
Donald Trump IS NOT WORTH the sacrifice of a nation!
The Presidency is not Jeopardy! It’s not Wheel of Fortune! It’s not The Apprentice!
We cannot roll a dice to pick our next president.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
